DISCRIPTION

The Ratanakosin period also known as the Bangkok style is in fact the latest period of thai art which was founded  by King Rama I in 1782 to present time Thailand. This statue shows the old Bangkok style period with much attention for detail and craft. The wonderfull fabric decoration, the eleborate work on the base with numerous of litle Buddha figures. The Buddha has a very kind and understanding expresion on his face. Late 18th to early 19th century
