DISCRIPTION

16TH century lacquered and gilded bronze statue, dipicting the sitting Buddha in  the Virasana leg position and the subduing Mara gesture. The missing of the flame finial on top of the head with hair curls, small and pointed. Three concentric beauty or auspicious lines on the neck, ears with pointed tips and elongated lobes with holes for earings. A very detailed base which sinks a few inches into the custom made vintage wooden stand.
