DISCRIPTION

Huge "Hu" from the Western Han dynasty (206 BC - 9 AD) in green lead-glaze decoration (Han-Lu) with fine Taotie faces and handles. The vase still has the original kiln stands attached to the buttom of the vase. Due to extended burial the original green color has turned into a very decorative iridescence patina, only to be found on green pieces.
